Diploma's, family, hotel hopping, sandy beaches & SUN!
Well I hit this second trimester full force. They promise more energy during this time and I had to muster up every bit of it. Mike & I planned a trip to CA to spend time with his brother, wife, and baby in Yobra Linda, and to support his Law School Graduation in Anaheim. It was a big accomplishment and we are very proud of him. We ended the amazing day with a barbecue and watching the kids play outside. So much fun!
The next day, we took a little road trip down the coast to San Clemente where we bought yummy cherries, juicy strawberries and sour dough bread, before stopping to spend a couple of days with my sister and her bf in San Diego. They walked us around Ocean Beach where we did some antique shopping, lunch, & relaxing on the beach. We also toured downtown San Diego doing some light shopping & heavy eating. Lunch on the water and Dinner in Randy's great Restaurant. After dinner we slowly walked through the "debaucheries" night life filled streets and I was silently reminded & ashamed of my youth.
It was perfect. :)
We planned to stay our last night in Camerello where mike had set up a business meeting the morning before we left so we got a early start the day before assuring we could take our time and make stops along the way, stopping in La Jolla to walk on the beach and sit in the sun, a drive through Rancho Santa fe, Laguna Nigel and another stop for some much needed beach time in Laguna. Being pregnant on the beach is not fun! Just an FYI... but I did enjoy getting a little bit of sun regardless and watching 100's of surfers riding the waves and making it look so easy. One day I will have to try to do what they do. (okay... stop laughing)
We arrived in Camerello late and we were eager to sleep. We got up early and while Mike was at his meeting I sat alone eating my continental breakfast for two. I cowardly walked back up to my room hovering over the muffins I had snuck out of the dining room for a later snack. shh...
We spent the rest of the day hitting the outlet malls and only walking away with things for the baby. We are becoming more unselfish as the months progress. We stopped in Malibu for sun & sand and dinner in Santa Monica before getting to Long Beach to fly home. It was a nice little vacation and we were so happy to spend some time with our family, and together.
